That makes me think of Chippendale. If he does a lot of dancing....
I think names have to wait until I am allowed (by Tassels) to get to know them a bit better.
Only Piglet was named the moment I met her and for an obvious reason.
Geronimo similarly.
But for Chippy I would have to name him like the rooster I want him to become, because all I really know about him right now is that he sneakily hid his gender and he loves blueberries!

By the way, him being a him does remove a worry I had about him when he was a she. Remember Chippy had a prolapse which I treated in the first few days? Nagging away in my mind was what would happen to the prolapse once she started laying eggs. Guess I can check that worry off my list!

Take your time, play with names. Sometime the right one snaps in, sometimes they choose one. They'll come.

@ChicoryBlue do you still have one of the young crew needing a name? With your musical interest, what about Dulcimer or some other semi-obscure instrument?

Accordion? Squeeze box? 😆

My neighbour’s favourite cow was called Mandolin, she was permitted to roam at large 🥰

He is looking good!

Mr P says thank you.

He’s still scraggly but less so, poor old man.

His poor feet with his crooked toes bother him. I’ll give him some Tylenol tonight, I see he isn’t digging today.

But he is happy with his mamas and babies, he was just over with Whiskers and her babies. He’s a good boy. Clyde is becoming a really sweet Roo also. Mr LC is a good boy but he’s a cheeky thing. Good thing he’s cute!

Clyde and his girls, wish they wouldn’t hang out under that white pine the sap stick to their feathers!

I definitely see the green.
Oh boy!
I need to come to terms with keeping him or not. Both alternatives are scary to me!

And what’s with not liking strawberries? I had some that were getting a bit tired in the fridge so I got some new ones for me - probably the last of the summer - and gave the tired ones to the chickens. They really aren’t that keen!
Strawberries... not so much here either... have only one chicken who will nibble them😕

Dana ~ our 8-yr-old strawberry nibbler... sweet thing gave us 2 eggs last week...

I know - and I basically blame you for this!
I am a bit worried about keeping Cookie’s feet clean as they are so extreme, but I am totally sold on Tassels and Geronimo. Very stylish!

Slippered toe birds are fun... they break off a lot of toe feathers when foraging or dustbathing... which makes me wonder why they ever needed feathers on legs in the 1st place⁉️

Is there anything natural to remove pine sap? P-nut butter? Olive oyl? Pine tar soap? Or...?

Does the sap drip year-round or just seasonally?
