Madhouse here lately. Young roosters fighting. Two broody game hens fighting (poor Nacho lost the fight, but she is ok I think) eight more little ones from next door.
:barnie:he
And I have been suffering from food poisoning since Friday night :sick

I have both, but even my determinant variety has given me a few more lately.

My indeterminate variety is about 7’ high now 😊 the photo is of one of the indeterminate varieties. It was too tall and started growing along the gooseberry vine so those two are twined together now, I pruned the tomato vine last month and it did wonders for the fruit. I am tempted to take cuttings from it and grow over winter.
We have no room to nurture cuttings so I kept seeds to germinate the following spring... took less room & the little plants transplanted & grew fast in the garden beds... too fast! I only plant my 2 favorite tomatoes ( one Roma & one Better Boy plant) & one cherry tomato variety which keeps us in tomatoes enough for us, the hens, & our freezer for the year. Any more tomato plants than that gets unruly & we wind up feeding the neighborhood or friends for free... stopped that practice!

Mugs Monday. This guy was feeling sorry for himself yesterday after somehow getting stuck upside-down in between a fish box and some chicken wire with his head the other side of the wire. He was fine after I pulled him out and he'd had some food and water.

(@Mother of Chaos another guilty chicken!)
I really never knew that chickens could look abashed. It's very impressive! (of course, they have to do something awfully dumb)
