Ginger has discovered the tree nests. Splash flew up to see what she was doing up there. Then Tall Tim had to inspect the nest after Ginger was done. Ozzy tried but failed to scale the side of the tree. Einstein went up, but preferred Miss Floppy’s old spot further up, and eventually abandoning the tree for her current tree? Or to forage? Perhaps she wasn’t ready.

Ummmm I hope you don’t have poisonous spiders or scorpions…?

I would imagine though that the chooks will kill and eat them…? Mine eat spiders here all the time. No scorpion species here so cant
Speak to those.

No idea what type of spider but about 1.5” leg span.

Edit - thinking Cellar Spider

The snail eggs, There are a lot of eggs in that clutch. I do not need them laying multiple clutches and letting them all hatch no matter how much Rosie complains.
Ummm...ever heard of escargo? I've heard it is really good! Those lots of snails could come in 'handy'.;)

None that I’ve ever worried about 😳

Once, looooong ago, my friend and I decided to try ecargo. They were sold in a can at the grocery store. We both enjoyed sardines, shrimp, etc so we figured that the escargot would be great also.

They were like eating the eraser on the end of a pencil! So she chucked them outside to her chooks. The hens pick at them but wouldn’t eat them either.

FYI - her chickens were my first taste of having chickens. And she also had lots of different egg colours.

Oh I have got to get myself some of those!!! How much weight is a tank 4’x2’x10’? I want a whole wall!
Oh a whole wall tank is definitely a dream. I'd have to hit the lottery though.

Now, as it is still technically Pony or in my case Shrimpy Sunday, I can be a enabler.

If you would like your own shrimp, they are perfect for nano tanks, 2.5 gallon. I see some do well with them in 1 gallons, but in my opinion that is just too small.

I can send you links, lots of links for tiny tanks. After all I started out looking for a tiny shrimp only tank for my night stand and then quickly went back to nope, I want my 20 gallon. I can even send you links to some shrimp breeders who may ship to Canada or try to find you sources in Canada.

A small planted tank with about 15 to 20 shrimp so you have a stable breeding colony will not set a person back that much and very easy to care for. The plants help with filtration so it eases the care requirements.

Just saying...

Of course, I get my 20 gallon up and running whose to say eventually I will not have a nano tank on my nightstand dedicated to shrimp only. I do like my shrimpies.
