Here is Joan after 4th day of crop treatment. She has some major pieces of ?? plastic?? idk what it is. I got almost 10 pieces out and still feel one more in her. I didn't feel more then 3 inside but once she threw it up, there was a lot more. Poor baby, I didn't know you had gotten into something that bad?!

She will rest her foot on my hand after each treatment. View attachment 4229185
That is the sweetest picture ever.

Thanks. I didn’t. I got home around 12:30am and she was long gone. RIP, sweet, curious Minnie. My dear friend just came by and buried her for me because I’m still recovering.

Rest in peace dear Minnie. Im so sorry for your loss. :hugs :hugs :hugs :hugs

Can't wait to see all the new spangles - that glorious new look should help repay her for the undignified look at the moment!
Many more spangles and she'll be white!

Yup. That is the issue. And I don't mind being attacked, but I can't imagine it is good for long term outcome for me to be associated with stress in Tassels mind.
I know zero about roo's... but my input is wear a pair of safety glasses 👓 to protect your eyes if you decide to cuddle Mr. Chips... just in case Tassels does a weird thing like fly at you. Just never know what a bird may do to protect her young. That Tassels is a real tenacious determined lady 💕.

Poor baby! Cursed plastic!

Tarps are dangerous too when they begin to deteriorate. Yrs ago our Silkie Violet got hobbled from long stringy tarp pieces. TG I saw her walking funny before she got hurt from it.

Now I get after DH to throw out any tarp that begins the slightest wear! We constantly have to patrol the yard for floating grocery bags, balloons, trash, etc. Our Santa Ana Winds are vicious here & blow stuff into the yard.

When idiot neighbors shoot off illegal aerial fireworks we have to check the yard for their debris in our yard before letting the hens out.
