Not broody as far as I knew.I sure hope the missing flock members show up. Was Dakota a broody hen?

But she never showed much emotion, unless she was alone with me. Then she’ll tell me her whole life story (over again)

Maybe there is some Shetland in Cookie’s genetics!Haha, my older ones do fine as a rule. It seems to be the younger ones that sometimes get turned around here - I think being less senior means they're likely to be more frantic about trying to get back to their own group / away from the older chickens, or to get to a valuable treat since they don't have the status or size to just barge in and take what they want. And those two Shetlands that I think are just really not too bright even when they can see where they're going.
Anyway, I’m happy to have her back home safe. No scent of corn mash alcohol on her beakbreath. See? They can teleport. And possibly turn invisible. Now for a large bite of good news.
I found Dakota back in the coop just now. I guess she was hiding after dark last night, or possibly partying with the rooster next door.![]()

I have another problem. One of the game roosters, runs around the yard cackling like a hen. Bok Bok Bok bcock! It’s almost embarrassing.
