Alright I have some questions about my rooster.
He's probably around 8-9 months old (ive had him for ~a month)
Now my dad is afraid he could be dangerous (I have younger siblings)
He hasn't shown any aggressive towards me besides occasionally growling(?) at me when I pick up a pullet.
He also runs away from me when I approach him.
Is there a way to like tame him down?
There are BYC articles & threads on roo behavior & training that I hear are very informative. We can't have roo's so I never perused them myself. There are things to do & not do in raising a roo.

Give him a bit more time. (Also it’s a perfect time for permanent bonding.
Oh yeah I know, it's just one of the stages that they go through. It is funny though, when they're entering that awkward teen stage and starting to grow out their saddle feathers and make grown-up noises some of the time - but as soon as they get scared or worried, they go back to squeaky little baby peeps.

Tomorrow is my birthday! My mom was in labor on her couch on Halloween, her dr. Was out of town! She teased me for years because I prevented her from trick or treating.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Hope your day is a good one ♥️♥️♥️

Not at the moment…. But my coworkers have kids and you know they are germ factories!
I teach high school seniors/college freshmen. By December they are exhausted and all sick. Invariably they give me a lovely virus as they cough and hack their way through their final, ni matter how much I disinfect.
My chickens are healthier!

IMO Silkies ARE Sweetie Pies 🩷 & amazingly smart little "zoomies" as you labeled them. We've been so amazed at their smarts, quickness, awareness, hardiness, human friendly temperaments, & busy-ness in the yard as well as providing the largest of bantam eggs thru all 4 seasons of the yr. They've been the most surprising of all breeds we've had. Of course the mid-size Dominiques have also captured our admiration as a great flock bird w/ a calm demeanor & outgoing friendly temperament.

Question: I have 2 Polish who are a little skittish because they can't see well, even when I trim their head feathers. Do the Silkies also have their vision obscured? I am trying to figure out what breed to get them as friends (2 to 3).
I love my Polish but it seems cruel when animals are bred with a genetic trait that makes life harder for them.
