Geronimo looks to be backing her up too. Wonderful!
The dynamics among the Littles are a bit unclear.
Nutmeg and Cookie got to roost in between Tassels and the wall last night with Nutmeg in the favorite spot next to the wall and Cookie so covered by both their fluff that I didn’t immediately spot her and thought she was missing.
Geronimo and Mr. Chips roosted far away but together.
Traditionally Geronimo and Cookie are best buds as they are the bad girls who fly up into trees and go on adventures so yes I think Geronimo was her support team in that video.

One thing is clear though, everyone is terrified of Sylvie and Calypso!

Bob doesn’t want politics on this thread. That looks like chicken politics to me! 🤦‍♂️

Silly Cookie had a relapse in her ability to understand the concept of going South in order to turn the corner to go North to go to bed.
She has been doing it just fine and then forgot. Or she is playing me. Either is possible!
She can definitely see.
She also is now able to use the feeder but forgets how to do that sometimes too.
Sigh.

What breed is silly Cookie? She's adorable.
By the way, your coop and run is absolutely beautiful while still being very practical for chickens and having the most important element - space! I read the first part of this thread where you had just built it and I've always wanted to tell you that.

The teen weeks are not for the faint of hear, but usually result in better adults. Sylvie and Calypso are doing their job too. Thumping stupid before it's truly stupid begets wiser/chastened young adults.

Aww thank you. I am very happy with it though now I have a young cockerel I need to make some adaptations to provide more escape places for the hens when he becomes a hormonal idiot.
Right now I am blessing my forethought in providing multiple entrances because Calypso is being very mean and guarding the door so the Littles can’t get in!
Cookie is a fancy designer breed from Meyer Hatchery that they call Cookies-and-Cream. @rural mouse who is our resident expert believes she is a mix of Mottled Houdan and Mottled Cochin.

Thanks so much for all the helpful advice. I propped the front door open, put a table in front as an intermediate step, and then with bag of mealworms a.k.a. chicken crack in hand I called them and showed them how I put some in the table and then in the front of the coop. This is how I trained them to use the ramp - by putting some on every step up. It failed utterly - they just can't see that high up (I've got to get back to crest cutting and do more!). So until I get back my chicken tenders have to put them to bed every night. Hopefully they'll get it eventually.
When I get home in 2 weeks I can do another door and ramp since I plan on getting them a couple of little friends in the spring and Jamie I'm sure will harass them. It is her coop and run, after all
If you are able to set them on the table, with the mealworms there...they will learn very quickly! Not sure if you have time for another try before leaving...
