I dunno, she seems to like him even when he jumps her from behind a corner, and he doesn’t seem to lack confidence where she is concerned.
Still terrified of the others of course.
He was always a mama’s boy!
Not Tassels. Calypso.

I was wondering about this too.
Geronimo went and inspected the nest boxes yesterday.
She is 16 weeks old.
She is also a very nosy young lady so she may just have been exploring new things.
I've seen pullets start their inspections around a month early. Then others I never see do any, yet suddenly new eggs appear.

I would say it’s fake….

But I still have chicken envy!

Here’s a famous military hen - Myrtle

Yes, I assumed a fake video... but chickens are depicted as less than what they really are. & many times they are purposely frightened by careless humans.

Just about any movie with chickens show them being scattered as a vehicle or horse actually gallops thru a flock & scares them silly getting scattered, flapping, & jumping in fright. No regard for them except as a an atmospheric joke.

Yes, they are humorous to own/watch but by their own natural way & not as the brunt of abuse. Some of us owners hate to see the meanness of our chickens toward their flockmates, yet don't consider that human behavior/abuse toward animals is much more misplaced. There are humane ways to depict/respect animals... even the ones used for food.

Poor Myrtle had no choice either. I guess she had to sink or swim to survive drops from 300 ft, get shoved in a soldier's backpack, & then eventually get killed by a bullet. She had no choice. The only positive I see is that her body in the backpack stopped the bullet that might've saved the soldier from being hit:idunno.
She was somewhat honored in naming a beer but its not a flattering label?
