Yes that was it. Someone had thrown pasta laced with mothballs over the fence at Featherheads house. I'm so sorry for the lack of context in the BFTP. I just thought it was funny - your response, not the attempted poisoning! That was infuriating.

And very scary! For him and his chooks.

Good Lord! Whats wrong with a pan and some water? I am clearly behind the times!

FYI do not put an egg in the microwave and hope for a hard boiled egg. Yes I am that person - granted I was only 13 at the time 😉

So the fox can do some fancy pole-dancing too :lau

And some fancy tap dancing it seems too! That one fox sure did run fast after getting a good lifter off of RC’s fencing - I love electric fencing.

I quite often find eggs in my pockets 🤦‍♂️

Maybe not for much longer with another five Shetland pullets likely to start laying soon! Some might lay different colours though.

Oh those in your pocket are hand warmers 😁

I used to write names on the eggs…. No longer know who lays what anymore unless I catch them at it!

I’m up too late tonight. :rant
But I needed a snack
So glad you are following a Dr's diet plan! But eating before bedtime, even a "snack" is a nice way to add pounds/calories to the belly ~ we should never eat/drink before bed & wait at least 3 hrs before lying down. Listen to Momma.

DH had the nasty habit snacking late putting on the belly. He suffered a mild stroke at his convention a couple days ago. Needless to say, he listens to me now! He's home early & went to ER yesterday for a battery of tests. Why do we humans think we're indestructible & ignore sound counsel about our diets?

Healthy home-grown fruit/veggie sample snacks:

Peeled/seeded freezer home-grown chunky tomatoes to make salsa later, add to soups, add to tomato sauces, add to stews or crockpot meals... working in the garden & processing tomatoes keeps me off my duff to move around daily for exercise ~ & tomatoes are my easiest grower. Zucchini or squashes are easy too if they have lots of room to grow.

EggGenie steamer for a supply of hard-boiled eggs for mid-day protein snacks in fridge. Steamers are less hassle than boiling in a pan.

Cayenne update

She is fat lard butt she needs a diet! I'd like to take some off her and give to Clyde or Flospy!

Her eyes are drier this morning, I gave a couple more drops of the Tylosin mixture in her eyes and dosed her again. Nothing wrong with her appetite, as long as she isn't coughing and sneezing I am feeling confident I was able to nip this in the bud.

Oh don't worry for her, other than her weeping eyes she is fine, and nothing wrong with her appetite let me tell you! If it wasn't for her having issues trying to fly off the stall wall I might not have noticed her eye for a few days. But she's doing well thanks for your concern I'll be sure to tell her Auntie Marie was asking after her.
That's good to know :)
Tell her her Auntie Marie is a bit of a greedy madam to :pop

Your produce looks really yummy :drool

I came across one of these egg steamers last year. They're really useful
I’ll take your and @Sylvester017’s word for it.
Personally I can’t think of anything much lower in hassle than boiling an egg and the last thing I need is to buy more stuff.

I do have a nifty gadget for taking the tops off soft boiled eggs that a friend gave me many years ago.

It's very...luxury. I certainly don't have the kitchen space for one!

I boil and peel 20 eggs every week (24 on overtime weeks) for hubby's breakfast. Big pan, water, ice bath, roll em around and peel. Very zen activity

Our steamer stays on the counter & takes little space... less than a coffeemaker or electric teapot. The steamer cooks on a timer so no guesswork on when to remove eggs. So hard to guess when to remove eggs from a boiling pan of water on the stove & I got burnt fingers too many times.

Photo of your soft-boiled egg topper plz? Sounds intriguing.
