The D clinic changed my hours (gladly)
Now I can get reliable transportation and get back home much earlier.
I get more daylight to spend with my chooks! I like the new hours. Early and home early. I’ll say it again, more time with my chooks, yay! :celebrate:wee

That’s wonderful, glad those hrs work better for you.

We of course will expect lots of photos 😉♥️

Now today I found a shell- less egg. Just a soft membrane covering the egg
I find a couple hens here really like broken up and crushed eggshells besides some oyster shell, you're providing all that? Might help.

Rest in peace, Buffy

She slipped into a coma earlier today. After discussing with her original owner, I euthanized her and added her body to dad's woodstove, as is tradition.

Thank you for being such a great Matriarch and doing a wonderful job raising my birds. We all miss you already. She spent her last days in a comfortable nestbox being visited by many of her "kids"
Sorry for the loss of Buffy. :hugs :hugs :hugs :hugs :hugs :hugs
She lived a good life with you. She was 6 or 7 years old I recall when you've mentioned her? Sounds like she was a great hen. RIP Buffy!
