Haha, excited to find this thread. We had a broody hen who won't stop being broody, so we let her have some eggs to see what happens. Our first time trying

Set: 10/6/18
Number: 4
Type: 2 Black star, 1 Red star, 1 Easter egger. (Fertilized by either Barred Rock or Brown Leghorn)
Style: First time broody hen (One of my Black Stars)

Going to try candling tomorrow and hope they are making it!

quick question....everything seems to be going well so far with the incubator but due to drop in ambient temps this week, i have had my temp drop to 98.6ish. i’m doing my best to keep it between 99 and 100 but is 1* either way of 99.5 fluctuation too much? turner is moving appropriately and humidity is @ 46% this morning

Occasional drops won’t hurt, but consistency is best. Too high will cause more damage than too low, so try not to adjust up too much. Lower temps may cause slight delays when it comes to hatch time.
46% humidity is too high for me, and most people, so keep an eye on your air cells. Check out the red link in my signature block for humidity info.
