Yes, and I quit long ago, too. Too many things sailed right over my head and they were WAY too serious for me. I like serious discussions but dang, some folks were just way too uptight for my taste (not you, though). I prefer a slightly looser atmosphere. I remember you, too. I know we talked a few times.

I know what you mean!

We have some pretty knowledgeable folks here, some that know more than I ever could about genetics. I learn just what I need to know to get by with my birds. I stay away from white birds for the most part--too many hidden things, too many unknowns with them. Barreds and BBS are easy. I never expected a chocolate colored bird from a Del x; at least, I know enough to know it's appearance, not the chocolate gene (gosh, tell me I at least got that right, LOL)

I can't tell you how grateful I am you said it first.

I wish there was a clearly formatted data table (the chicken calculator is a mess from a documents design point of view, replete with visual distractors and bereft of visible breaks that would make the data easy to scan) which sorted the color genes alphabetically and then by primary expression and ways they modify/are modified by other genes.

If I were forty years younger and free of my accrued commitments, I might take that on: as it is, something else would have to go away for me to have the capacity!

The barring looks a little messed up, probably due to Co/Co?

actully show stock Barred birds carry Co to make the barring alot nicer not messy...
lol.png

Yes. Am aware of that. I mean that it is possibly caused by the combination of Co/Co and E/E^Wh.
