Incubating Geese Eggs

They sure take their own sweet time!
I agree, it seems like this baby is teasing me with all his peeping and rolling. I have a feeling that tonight zipping will start. I was just shining my light at the egg pip and talking to my baby-as one does:D-and all of a sudden...*crack*. In front of my eyes:eek:. So hopefully I’ll wake up to something amazing!

I just came back from school thinking the worst and I’m so happy!!! Let me introduce you to challah (like the bread:lol:) he or she is a white embden! This morning I woke up to one more crack but the eight hours I was gone she hatched! There are twenty days till her siblings hatch but I’m trying to get some ducks as nobody is selling goslings near me. I’m also going to get the nutritional yeast from above and sprinkle on his food and a get a mirror and a stuffed animal! I’m too excited. I’ll give you guys another picture when this baby is dry:celebrate(sorry for all the gender changes lol)

Hello guys! I was wondering when it’s ok to take my gosling out and put him in a brooder. The humidity is so high in the incubator. If I need to keep him in the incubator should I lower the temp? And if I put him in the brooder I would be putting him with some sugar water on an old towel until I get some straw and then some pine shavings after the first week. Does that sound right?
