Incubating Geese Eggs

Has the air cell drawn down any? Like shifted toward the fat end of the egg?
Since the other one was slow to hatch, and only day 27 now, I’d just leave it for another day. If no external pip, candle it again tomorrow. Maybe take a pic when you candle, if you can.

It drew down on day 26. I mistaked it for day 21 then. That’s why I was so confused but kept turning, thinking the humidity was too low when really it was close to hatch. I’m thinking of doing a safety hole. The veins have retracted which is why I’m nervous but maybe they are just drying and he’s unresponsive as a chick? He attempted to pip the membrane but you can see where his beak is but it doesn’t move.

The mass is surrounded by a brighter red area. No movement or sound. No veins. Small pip. No wavy collapsed membrane. I waited it out and didn’t make a safety hole but I’m going to do the float test. When I gently move the egg, the contents inside move. I think I’ve lost him

There was an unusual smell. I’m thinking it couldn’t turn correctly. Maybe I’ll try again just so one goose can have another but meanwhile I’ll get some ducks for this one.

Sorry the gosling didn't make it. I'd get some ducklings at least the age of your one gosling so he doesn't accidently tromp on them. They will be able to stay out from under him better.
