An old acquaintance of mine raised 7,500 hundred cockerels of just one strain each year and shipped these bad boys all over the Pacific. He also raised an equal number of different strains of game fowl for sale in other parts of the world. Now these cockerels were raised by contract employees in mostly free range conditions to ensure that they were strong, healthy, and in tip top physical condition. However all the Mamas & the Papas of these 15,000 cockerels all came right off his home farm. Seeing that most game hens only produce 25 to maybe 50 eggs per year tops, and 50% of these chicks are females, tell me how much free time this individual had to keep up with, and change, little less ogle the zip ties on his hens' and roosters' feet?
