Agreed. I am keeping my fingers crossed to get 16…that is my goal number! Started with 27, 21 growing. Hopefully my expectations aren’t too high! That’s great your guesses were correct! Thinning is bitter sweet. We want them all the hatch but, like you said, it’s nice not to manually turn.
Day 20 now. That’s fantastic! What day is it for you? How many eggs made it to lockdown?![]()

how's it going? we're waiting for news and photos!Day 20 now.
21 eggs made it to lock down but one might have been a late quitter. I thought it looked cloudy, but I wasn't confident enough to pull it. It had no smell or oozing, so I took the risk on it.
3rd external pip is now visible![]()
It's been a really long day! So far 6 hatched and at there's still at least 5 more pips.. but it's hard to keep track now that chick soccer has begun and eggs are rolling around.how's it going? we're waiting for news and photos!
So exciting! Hearing the cheeps from inside the shell is always such a nice surprise.I hear cheeping coming from inside the shell; I must just be patient now and wait till tomorrow or Sunday to find out how many emerge of the 8 under Eve...
