Wow my hen that is hatching these eggs is a first timer but my polish has hatched chicks 3 times and has stayed on that nest until all have hatched and if there are unfertilized eggs still there she won't get up until I take them away and show her there are no more eggs to hatch, she is very determined hahaha

I have rose-comb Nankin bantams. They're notorious for poor fertility rates, so I usually end up with some "duds." I generally use an incubator, but I had two REALLY insistent first-timers, this time. With the delays and shipping problems, I really didn't expect any of these eggs to hatch artificially, so I let the Mamas have a go. I figured that their instincts would give the babies a better chance to hatch. So far, so good!

I’m so excited! I ordered some shipped legbar, Orpington, EE & OE, plus the local eggs just in case the shipping ruined the rest. Started with 27…have 15 in at lockdown! 2 Orpington, 3 legbar, 3 OE, 2 EE & 5 farm Easter Eggers. What are you hatching? How much longer?

I am hatching 4 EE, due any day now ( like day 17 or 18) im not 100 on the dates I put them in around the 28 through the 1st of june so anytime, just candled and they are all moving, hope they come soon, mom is getting annoyed with my frequent visits lol I just can't wait

I feel like every time I hatch chicks 1 of my Ameraucana girls goes broody she’s at it again & very persistent this time so I gave in yesterday & let her keep a few eggs. I guess we’re going into a July HAL too I’m also going to put my quail eggs in lockdown today. It’s a day early because of the day 16 hatches I had last week.
