The bottom still worries me a little bit as it still looks a little open.. and Since he has figured out how to take off his bandages we have to make sure to keep it extra clean
Are you using vet-wrap? here are some pictures of a peacock that I wrapped:
This is how I wrap:

This peacock had these sores on both his feet:

I cleaned them with Chlorhexidine, applied neosporin and a no stick pad, then wrapped the pad on with lots of gauze for padding and then lightly wrapped the gauze with vet-wrap like this:

If I had to do it again I would not use the beige tape at the top of the bandage.

And here is a picture of a duck that a vet wrapped:

Vet wrap might be too sticky?....As it's removed it might reopen the wounds?... After infection is give liquid bandaid might be a better option?.....
Properly applied it is *not* sticky. Whenever you bandage a wound it *must* be padded. For the duck in this thread I would cover the wounds with a no stick pad, secure the wounds with gauze, then apply vet wrap. I'll see if I can find some pictures.

That looks much better than the roller gauze I've been using.. I will deff go pick that up and keep some in stock.

Vet wrap is a *must have* in poultry first aid supplies, it's just useful for many, many things... :)

I've never had it stick even to feathers, personally... it's designed to stick to itself, and works well in that regard...

I have some human type wrap that sticks to itself and not to skin, that i have used several times on chicks. Do you ladies that have actual vet wrap think it's the same thing? I'm wondering if it's cheaper or more expensive. I think i bought these rolls at the dollar store.
