View attachment 1537719 Hi! Just want to share... my gals just started laying in the last two months and my very first egg ever was a double yolk from my RIR! Well, yesterday I got my second double yolk egg from my BuffOrp!I like em cuz they are really large eggs!

We are well, thanks! Except for the heat!!I had to put a fan for the gals cuz they were so hot! It should be starting to cool down a bit (at least 80’s) but we are in south Louisiana so you never know! It’s hot a lot here but in the winter it can get pretty cold... we even had snow last winter and a good bit too! But that almost NEVER happens!! So needless to say, we had a blast!!

I'm going to buy a little pool for my babies when summer hits. its already starting to get really hot here so summer is going to be a killer.

Good idea! I dump buckets of water in the run and they play in the mud puddles! We usually get tons of rain here but this summer has been pretty dry...

It is crazy how dry it is here. Farmers are struggling and at the moment the strawberry farms are struggling because someone has been puuting needles in strawberries from the supermarkets so people arent buying strawberries. Its sad that someone is that angry at the world.

Update on JD my Black Australorp:
He is starting to get a really nice greenish colour to his feathers.
His going to be a beautiful bird.

Roosting at night update:
Tonight I checked the coop. JD and Gin one of my Rhode Island Reds had went up to roost with Hazel but the others were still in the run in a corner. So I showed them how to go up the ramp again. But at least they are slowly getting it.
