You sound like a great gardener!

My pullets are 24-25 wks old now, Blueberry is a week older than the other 2. Jewel's original flock of 3 started laying at about 16 wks and all within a week of each other!
My newest ones were hatched in May rather than April (the first group) so I wonder if the time of year makes a difference?

I have never noticed a difference in taste at all. However, the color and texture of the shells had changed, but may have been other contributing factors as well. I started a thread about it and received quite a lot of interesting feedback if you want to take a look:

Well, I am glad you're starting to feel better. Just know we're all sending good thoughts your way :hugs

Im interested in when my younger ones will lay Licorice my Black Australorp was checking out the nesting boxes yesterday. They are almost 3 months old but. Shouldn't be laying anytime soon.

I will check out that thread too. Thank you.

And thank you for all your hugs and support :hugs:hugs:hugs

Pullet Update:
My pullets are 2 months 21 days old today. The other day 1 was checking out the nesting box and this afternoon when I got home another 1 was sitting in the nesting box all puffed out like shes broody. I thought thats random and she was sitting tight wouldn't move. This is pretty strange.

These ones are Purebred though not hybrid so they will go broody.
