You're absolutely right there shouldn't be but despite the temperature and more than adequate ventilation and keeping the coop bone dry and properly tending the comb I'm one of the many, many people who had a roo get frostbite. I'm just hoping to keep him from having more issues.

I lost both my single comb males that weren't processed before fall, but I still have frost bite on some cushion & rose comb males. Pea comb male looked good, just a touch of white even through that week or two where we didn't see 0F.

It's not too bad I've definitely seen other people's roos get worse his seems to be healing it didn't get to the worst stage thank goodness. It's just his spikes and the color is slowly returning. The girls even got a tiny nip on their combs, especially and this is odd the dominique since she doesn't tuck her head.

Tired tonight. DH was late getting back from the doctor and shopping, plus it was foggy. I was worried.
Tomorrow i get to go to the new doctor. Sigh. We end up with a new one every year due to insurance. It sucks.

Pipsquweek. She was 4 lbs when found and has clearly fattened up. She spits like a cobra and snorts like a pig. (Damage to her nasal passage)
