Official Squatch Watchers

I was just reading on another thread that kale and spinach isn't good to feed to laying hens. Supposedly it makes for soft eggs? I feed mine kale all the time. It's their favorite. Anyone else ever heard this?
They got into kale and ate a ten ft row...had green egg whites:sick

Don't know I just heard it somewhere. I heard banana peels and raw potatoes and citrus are bad for them as well
Raw potatoes might have eyes and green areas that would not be healthy to eat. Idk about the others. Can't believe citrus would be bad, gave mine OJ with medication to make it taste better.

So green eggs and ham?:lau
Yep...it took me awhile to figure it out...dog thought they were good so didn't go to waste... once I realized they didn't smell and it was from the same two hens that raided the garden ...I looked it up.. they tasted fine to me too.:gig

Oh but you can teach them to try it. Chop it up small and put it in a pan or something and sit in the run. Make like you are eating it and its really yummy. Put the pan on the ground and tap the pan with your finger and make "look its yummy" noises like the roosters do. Or put mealworms in with it. They may learn to like it. I taught lots of goats to eat things they were suspicious of. I never had a problem with chickens eating most stuff. Except those fake potatoes they sell at KFC with gravy. They hated that, refused to eat it.
I would to fake taters :sick KFC :sick

I guess I could feed mine food I don’t like and possibly still get some benefits
