Ah crapballz, I thought you meant the JAMON!!

But, OMG....the diaper. YAS QUEEN the frigging CHICKEN DIAPER!!!!

I was at my soon-to-be-ex job (I blogged, therefore I am) today, sneaking a (very quick, illegal) peek at BYC on their dime, and I saw that diaper, and I bowed down down to it.:bow:bow:bow:bow:bow:bow:bow:bow:bow:bow:bow

Like, that AMAZING CHICKEN DIAPER SET. Was that you? Did you actually make that creation? I just assumed someone bought it at mypetchcken.com. You did that?!

Oh no not me! That is Anansi's creation.

Wow. Sorry. Anansi, you should sell them. That is killer. So cute!!!!!!

I just do the ghetto face mask thing. You should post a video of your chook walking around in it....

Momma, the harness parry isn't all that hard, the pouch is easy as well, you just have to iron the liner so that the fusible vinyl seals itself just inside the stitch line, otherwise the laid from the poo will soak through. The vinyl also makes it a little more stiff than the ones online, but I couldn't find a lightweight waterproof fabric that would work. The best part is, you only need one harness, and a some pouches, and you are set. It's all machine washable, cuts down on layers, and to change the diaper, you just unsnap the one and snap another on, you don't have to wrangle the bird into a whole new contraption. The drawstring allows it to sit on the breastbone and out of the way of the crop, and the breast piece is measured so that it extends just below the breast bone so that the ring for the pouch to snap around is on soft tissue for comfort. The back piece is measured to sit from the wing joint and the d ring for the pouch is 2 inches above the tail. The drawstring is sewn into the breast piece, and allows for proper fitting, as well as going between the upper curve of the wing and the back to help it stay on better. I picked up quilting fat quarters for the pouches, and used scrap fabric for the liner. I love it, you can get as fancy, Chile coordinate, and just have fun with it. I did think about making them to sell, but I have to many other things I have to work on for the DDs. Besides, I'd rather make things for people who are important to me, rather than trying to fill orders and have expected delivery times. I'm also like smuvey, I bounce around with hobbies.

Eta, I can make the harness to fit several different sizes of chickens add long as measurements between smallest and largest are no more than 3 inches difference. Seramas would be the hardest I think, and for adjustable harness, I'd probably end up using Velcro. It would require half size pouches as well.

I can give you the instructions for the whole thing, and you can get creative with different materials and trim... and have fun. You could even sell them if you wanted, it wouldn't bother me one bit.
