Yep I don't see any way he is producing barred pullets.
Have another rooster?
3 sons were crossed w/a CX hen and are white. I had one in a pen w/ hens and thought I was setting those but could have put the wrong eggs in a carton for setting... The other 2 white cx mix roos were in with their dad and hens...
His offspring that were barred or black or red were under 10 wks and ran from hens or older ones were locked in a secure bachelor pad until freezer camp.

I'm I following this right?
Father may be a white in color Cornish cross mix?
If that's the case he may very well be carrying the barred gene but not showing because the white is covering it.
It isn't uncommon for a white bird to also be barred. Barring is sometimes added because it helps getting a white bird white since barring takes away color there's less color for the white to mask.
I could very well see a Cornish cross hen carrying barring and passing it to a son. In turn also passing on the white so the barring would not show.

ah, yes one of the fathers is 1/2 cx ..his mother was a cx and his dad was the red roo I posted... I guess that explains it.. thank you

Split the roosters and see what they produce bred to a non barred hen.
Guessing your red one would not produce barred but the white on would produce some barred and some non barred.
first year i just had the red roo and no barred offspring.. bred to BJG and BO.. was getting black hens( one BO) and roos were black or black with gold or silver or red.... or white from the cx hen, those are the only ones I was sure what hen they came from.

2nd year I had the white Cx mix roos running with their dad, and was getting barring and none looked like the previous year from the red roo... some were meaty but not as meaty as the white cockerels from the 2nd year.. I wonder if the color goes with the breast
ETA pen w/red roo the hens were BGJ BR and BJG offspring from last year
