Ok handy folks--ehem Cappy-- Any thoughts on how to fix this? Wish I could say I was doing something fun :bun but I sat on the bed to put socks on and went through the floor.
As you can see the seem of the board ended about 7" from the floor joist. No sub floor.
My only thought was put a piece under the end that needs support and screw it to the boards on either side of the hole. Then fit the broken piece in and screw it down. Using the breakaway screws so there isn't a line of screw heads on the floor.
Thoughts?

Going to have to make a chicken hat, Lulu is starting to look like Hulk Hogan lol! All kinds of saddles out there for bald backs but she's loseing back of the head feathers. I know why, she scrunches up like a scared turtle during mating and poor roo just tries to stay on "not easy with two round chickens". :)
My poor Svart X has a Mohawk. She needs a helmet. Boys ripping out head feathers....

And we have babies! Two decided to kindle at the same time. As far as i can tell , there are 10 total. Black or broken black as far as i can tell. Very exciting! And we are at 77 degrees! Makes me want to plant the garden!
How exciting!
We need pictures!
