Official Squatch Watchers

Took me 3 taterin hours to get home! Should have been 30 min. Total nightmare and panic attack. Great night!

Drives like that are very hard on the nerves. :hugs
Glad you made it home in one piece.

It's delicious, kid you not.:)
Yay! I'm def going to get some! Thanks. There's this stuff called Tequila Rose that *supposedly* tastes like strawberry quik.. it does not. All my friends LOVED it & I'm like Mmm, no thanks. So I was really hoping this was better.

I was hovering over the chick and duckie bins at the store. Clucking and making chicken noises. Luckily no one was there to see me.

We are getting snow. Yes SNOW! Stupid Ohio weather. Can't make up it's mind on what season it is. Power keeps flickering and guy come in from lunch and said a transformer up the road blew. I'm waiting a little but prob getting the hell out of here!
We got a ton of crap snow too. WAYYYY more than I expected and it's super windy. I know they *said* we were to get 3-6 here, but they're always way off. School's closed today. I didn't bother going to let the chickens out. Might go at lunch. It finally stopped snowing, but this is heavy snow and I'm worried the weight of it is dragging down the run.

Today has been a frustrating day.

No chicks hatched. I candled and saw movement in 4 of the 6 eggs. They look to be a couple days behind what I would expect at day 21. Could be because the incubator temps have been erratic, leaning towards low.
:barnie
Work has also been frustrating. There is an issue with a program I use to connect to the work network after they pushed a friggin update on me. Now I have to disable my firewall to get it to connect. Unfortunately, every 30 min or so my firewall likes to kick itself back on and I have to log out an reconnect.
:barnie:barnie
What made it even worse this evening was the weather. A huge rainstorm blew in, degraded my satellite signal. The power even blinked out for 2 seconds. On top of my software issues, this did NOT help at all
:barnie:barnie:barnie
I really hope the Milk Drinker goes to bed soon and lets me sleep well tonight. I think 20 months (He just turned 20 months today) of being woken up 2-5 times a night is really starting to get to me.
Hopefully someone will fix the program eventually. Can you make a firewall exception for that program? We use a remote access program for our non networked laptops for updates and the stupid av sees it as an attack and blocks the connection for 10 minutes at a time. I have to turn off my av to get it to stop. Of course when I look up a solution there is none. Then for some unknown reason the program will randomly log me out and I have to reconnect everything. I really hate computers.

Holy wow. How much snow did you guys get? I probably cleaned a good 8" off my car this morning.. and that's with the wind blowing it all over.

I'm jealous of all the baby chicks, but I'm glad for not having to do all the work! My tiny human was wishing for a broody again. I told her IF we do get a broody we'll likely only do 4 eggs. Everything will likely be a bantam mix, but since we've been letting Odin out to range w/ them periodically we *could* get a leghorn mix. But there's the overwhelming fear of getting more boys that keeps me from wanting to hatch.

Good morning all.

Thanks for the breakfast @Anansi
Prayers going out to @apryl29 kiddo

Good morningish! Sorry so many of you have crappy weather, I'd send some of my 50 degrees and sunny out to y'all if I could.

That whole ton of doodles thing has me nervous too. Last year out of four that hatched two were dudes. At least this year I know the daddy isn't a freak so it won't be quite as bad but still...ugh. The Bailey's strawberry is nothing like tequila rose its actually really good with none of the fake aftertaste. :)

Last night did not go well. The Milk Drinker woke at 3:15 this morning with a stuffy nose and woke up completely when he had a hard time nursing. No matter what I did, I couldn’t clear his nose. DH took him for about an hour or so and let me try to sleep but I really couldn’t. I finally got him back to sleep at 5:45, but I had to get up for a chiropractor appointment. In total I got about 4 hours of sleep. :hit

I’m doing alright for now, but feeling even more run down than before.

Thankfully, the issue seemed to right itself overnight. When I unlocked my comp this morning I was still connected to all the programs I had running last night. :woot

One less thing to worry about. Today has been quiet so far. I just hope is stays that way. *knock on wood*
