Official Squatch Watchers

Lol you're a hover person! I don't like Ohio weather, its the only place I've ever gotten windburn from just walking to the store. :(
I was hovering over the chick and duckie bins at the store. Clucking and making chicken noises. Luckily no one was there to see me.

We are getting snow. Yes SNOW! Stupid Ohio weather. Can't make up it's mind on what season it is. Power keeps flickering and guy come in from lunch and said a transformer up the road blew. I'm waiting a little but prob getting the hell out of here!

Oh no way, man! I am a scientist. This is like the world's greatest science experiment ever. :) There's no way I need--or have room for--that many chicks! I was only counting on getting a dozen originally but WVD was so generous she doubled that! I told hubby "we'll be lucky if even one or two hatch b/c Serama eggs are notoriously hard to hatch" (plus it was my first hatch) so I seriously hope they don't all hatch! Out of the ones I candled and put back, there were maybe 4 questionable ones. So that's maybe 11 that are going strong, so far!

I'm already calling my chicken friends to see about giving some away if I have a decent hatch. Really, I only wanted like maybe 3 Seramas. WVD's frizzled BCs are seriously cute, though!

All of the serama eggs could produce either silkied or smooth. The SS pen just has higher likelihood with more silkied ones in that pen. :D
And remember, serama are bad about quitting around day 18-19, right before hatch.
But seriously, you're off to a great start! I'm actually semi-proud of our postal service. :P

Speaking of alcohol... has anyone seen the ads for the Strawberry Bailey's Liqueur? I really want to try it.

Love love love Baileys, but strawberry is weird for me. I love the fruit itself, but don't care for strawberry flavored things, like ice cream. Don't like strawberry ice cream, so I doubt I'd like the Baileys. But hey, it's worth a shot. (pun intended)

Today has been a frustrating day.

No chicks hatched. I candled and saw movement in 4 of the 6 eggs. They look to be a couple days behind what I would expect at day 21. Could be because the incubator temps have been erratic, leaning towards low.
:barnie
Work has also been frustrating. There is an issue with a program I use to connect to the work network after they pushed a friggin update on me. Now I have to disable my firewall to get it to connect. Unfortunately, every 30 min or so my firewall likes to kick itself back on and I have to log out an reconnect.
:barnie:barnie
What made it even worse this evening was the weather. A huge rainstorm blew in, degraded my satellite signal. The power even blinked out for 2 seconds. On top of my software issues, this did NOT help at all
:barnie:barnie:barnie
I really hope the Milk Drinker goes to bed soon and lets me sleep well tonight. I think 20 months (He just turned 20 months today) of being woken up 2-5 times a night is really starting to get to me.

Sounds rough. Hope you get some rest tonight. :hugs
