I adjusted the temp up a tad this morning on the Brinsea. Those little quails should be hatching before you know it. They just pop out like popcorn, really fast! Everyone needs to hatch some because the cuteness is just wonderful!

So you sell them! I couldn't find any quail OR guineas around here for sale. Should be a good market for them. I just have not figured out where to brood them. Maybe the bunny barn.

Good afternoon everyone. Today has been a busy day.

My parents left, taking my '06 Malibu off to Delaware for my sister to buy from us. YAY. I'll miss that car though. It was a good car.

And one of the neighbors in our hollow came up and offered to buy our '02 Chevy Avalanche. He wants it for tooling around up in the hills of a property he just bought. It is LOADED with trash and he 1) can't get his dump trucks (yes, he has multiple dump trucks) up the hills and 2) he doesn't want to get his nice shiny trucks all scratched up. So win-win! We get rid of the thing (I don't like it much) and he gets a cheapo truck to mess up. Good riddance.

Now we are down to just our minivan. YAY!!!!!!

I also just milled 40lbs of cooked apples down to apple sauce. I LOVE Azure Standard's organic juice quality apples, they are CHEAP (less than $1 a pound) and they make the BEST apple sauce.

Oh, after waiting and checking email all morning, I found out an hour ago, that the work that my job needs me to do won't be ready until 4pm. I could have gotten my chocolate orp fluff butts + eggs from @WVduckchick today after all.

Oh well.

Hmm, you've got a good point. I only know one quail person just bobs and buttons though and the nearest guinea lady is a good 50 miles away. I'm doing some grouse research at the moment, there's a demand but a pair to start with is around 500 bucks...ouch!

So you sell them! I couldn't find any quail OR guineas around here for sale. Should be a good market for them. I just have not figured out where to brood them. Maybe the bunny barn.

Congrats on the sales. I found a bator over in Delaware, hoping the guy is going to ship it to me.

Have you looked at buying grouse chicks from a hatchery? U can probably get 100 babies for $300 . Sell some and pay for the rest. I was thinking about some of those fancy quail.
