Official Squatch Watchers

I did get to peek at air cell condition, since I just changed candler batteries and therefore have a strong light. They look pretty great in the few I did check; only one or two were saddled.

I haven't set anything but shipped eggs in a year and a half. I will be glad when I have my own breeder stock solid.

Own stock is sooooo much better. I'm doing shipped eggs right now, and I had forgotten how bad they could be. But surprisingly, day 14, all my air cells have firmed up beautifully, except 1 or 2. 1 is extremely wonky, but the embryo is active!

I contacted the breeder in Ohio and they have a full grown rooster they could sell me. I’m asking for pictures and if they ship (they are 200 miles away). I’ll let you know how that works.

Road trip! Swing by and pick me up. :gig

I hatched the ducks for the NYHAL and he was all about me hatching a bunch of ducks. Haha and yall thought i was crazy!!!

Is he for sale?
I know a few people that might be willing to buy him or at least trade ya.

I may have already candled day 4 call duck eggs. Twice.
Can you see in those kind of eggs?
Are they anything like quail eggs?
I don't know.

That's why I said before that 'These are quail eggs, so there is no chance I could see anything.' :smack
Actually, i candled my quail eggs and saw quite a bit around the spots. One cracked, 3 iffy, the rest all look fertile but big air cells so i added more water.
And the juvi quail i ordered are being shipped Monday! 3 males, 15 females.
