Official Squatch Watchers

This is the first one she's laid like that, if it wasn't for the size I'd never figured out who laid it she's the only jumbo butt out there. Her usuals look like the wet egg, sometimes a little bit darker or lighter this one though is a new trick. They mess with me Rae, I'm their entertainment. :)
I have one hen that lays chalky eggs but they are darker and VERY spotted when wet.

I forgot the picture . Would you say he is partridge

I had forgotten how terrible broody minded hens are. Nobody can get near her without squawking and puffing needless to say she's a real treat on the roost. She's just sitting there all puffed up with these giant crazy eyes everybody else just staring at her. She's still doing that short clock sounding clucking too. This is day three, will she made it four? :)

I got in a fight with my BC rooster. He has been trying to sneak up on me so he can flog me. So today every time he would come i would push him back firmly with my foot. Hard enough for him to land on his back. Finally he gave up but i kept on him pushing him around and cornering him and pushing more. Let’s see if he forgets.

Um, that egg turns white again once its dry...what!? Marlene is magical, first she gives me conehead egg yolks, and now I've got color change eggs. If at any point in my life I ever own anything normal its all about to end, y'all can bet money on that.:)

All the same chicken! And when wet the first egg looks much darker but dries and goes back to chalky.

My one boy who I thought was in charge started to be sneaky with me. Tried flogging and would jump at me. Only in the coop--very leery of me touching the girls.
So I started standing up to him. When possible (not freezing out) I shoo him out the door and make him stay there.
He's not head rooster anymore. My other boy took over for sure. No real knock down drag out fights. There might have been one during the take over. But Trouble (now in charge) chases Captain from the girls, stops him from crowing, and generally runs the place. Captain has thought about going after me since but for the most part he's weary of starting a fight with anyone.

Wow! Are you sure you don't need to come to Ohio after I move? I'm pretty sure I could find lots of fun projects for you. ;)
I have enough on my plate. Many of my projects will likely be cancelled if i have breast cancer as i suspect. But thanks for offering!
