No, you don't have to go turd mining for me, you shouldn't lift heavy things repeatedly. You're awesome for offering though .:)
Butt, seriously? You're gonna make me go out in the poopy/shavings pile to find it?

You know I will just for you, Chickass!:hugs

I did, though. I looked high and low for that sucker, because it was truly impressive. It must have sailed far off into the woods, as if I hit a home run with the Mother Of All Chicken Turds. Sorry, I tried!

Here is my little fuzzy Pippins, at 4 days old! She's my first help-out, a frizzled BC, and is a moose compared to the Seramas! She is very sweet, and is currently nestled in my bewbs.

I had 9 babies in all. Two BCs and 7 Seramas. :)

7 of 8 of my bator babies hatched. One, a BC, was peeping in the shell but never pipped.
Luna (Cemani broody) did not hatch any of the eggs under her. Two I brought in (one was pipping--as in little beak sticking out!-- while she was off the nest, and another was peeping in the shell. I incubated them and they lived. :celebrate

There was one dead baby under Luna (from her eggs). After I saw that one I decided to bring any viable eggs inside and finish them, and so I did.

Two days ago, I slipped 2 Seramas under Luna. She is turning out to be a fantastic mom. Yesterday, I slipped the other BC under her. Luna may not have been able to hatch any, but she is a very good mother, fierce and protective! It melts my heart to see them. :love

Today, I am letting the Cemanis free range in the yard, and I opened up the pop door and closed the run so my little mom and babies can get some air and sunshine, and maybe come out! I am watching them carefully from my yoga room/baby chick room. So far she hasn't wandered off the nest.

I plucked the most gigantic monolith of a broody turd from the nest! I have never seen such a large chicken turd in my life! I should have snapped a picture....

Anyway that's the update on my first hatch adventure. When DH gets home I'll get him to snap some pics bc his camera is much better than mine (@Smuvers Farm, do NOT make fun of my phone!!! lol!)

@WVduckchick --so you can see your grandchicks' progress! :wee
Your baby is adorable!!! :love It sounds like you're doing great on the hatching front. Are you going to keep hatching?

Oh nah, that's understandable! I'm talking about "helping" an incubators humidity get below 30 percent or "advising" new hatchers not to turn eggs even though the op had clearly stated the eggs were on day 13. Just overall not reading. I personally read things a couple of times just to be as clear as possible so I don't inadvertently ruin someone's day or because the person dosent write well. Like in this case the op had their humidity jacked waaay up for the first two weeks, finally got it down to 40ish percent and thought it needed lowering further. If op just lets it be at this point it might be ok and that's really all that was asked but answers to such a simple question got confusing very quickly. :)
Oh, I saw that one. I don't know anything about hatching so I just stalk the new threads and see what people say. Some people just like to insist that they are right no matter what anyone else has to offer. I wanted to follow along to see if their eggs make it, but I don't want to deal w/ the rest of it.

Good morning and good night.

Code and hot water are on, there's applesauce in the slow cooker, a quiche staying warm in the oven (yes, the oven is off), some bagels, cream cheese, English muffins, laughing cow cheeses, and some corn bread. Butter and various fruit spreads/jams, nutella, peanut butter and honey are all on the counter. I'll leave a container or for crumbs and othet leftovers that are chicken friendly, unless you'd just rather have the chickens out in the kitchen with you... all I ask is that you clean up behind them and put them back in their pens by the tv in the loving room, big hen in big pen, small hen in small pen. They do enjoy cuddles, and you'll get to see/hear Gurtrude's "I got a special yummy!!!!" dance. You'll also get to hear both of them tell you how happy they are.

I'll see y'all in a little while, enjoy, and let me know what I need to replenish on my next grocery run. :frow:love:hugs

Made a fried egg sammie, thanks!!

Mine were made out of 2X12s treated. Would have preferred blocks but they were too expensive.

Soil in my beds is a mix of sand, sawdust, mushroom and chicken compost. You should be able to get manure from the Amish near you.

X2 I just ordered labels from onlinelabels.com for the cartons I got from eggbox.com. I use their online app to print the labels. What's cool is they will send you sample labels to play with.

Thank you x2 RJ. We really miss you here. :hugs

Good morning! I woke up and hubs was gone, guess he went to work early and apparently he had been searching for "dog farts" on my phone....whatever man. @Smuvers Farm "aka pookie" the time draws near you have heard the peeping now you are dooomed! The derps here go on lockdown thursday so I am right behind you just waiting to go insane..again.:)

LOVE this. Gonna check out zazzle along with the 2 links from RJ this afternoon!

We have these stainless steel mugs that have removable plastic handles. We have 3 mugs, 5 handles and I’m the only one that uses the handles and I like my pink one. View attachment 1302365
Well some of the others have become Milk Drinker toys. One thing he’s always liked doing is putting his feet in them and walking around.

View attachment 1302364 Well this week he learned a new word. Shoe. So he’s taken to picking up shoes he finds around the room and saying “Shoe, Daddy” for DH’s shoes and “Shoe, Mommy” for mine. He has also taken to putting his feet in the cup handles and saying “A shoe!!!!!” When he gets his foot in it. The silly little goof.

Cutie patootie!!

Ha Ha Ha! It’s 1”x1” to stamp the eggs themselves.

This is a MUST HAVE stamp now!
