Official Squatch Watchers

You guys,

Our sweet @staceyj lost her beloved young kitty yesterday, suddenly and unexpectedly. I am posting this for her because she will probably not be on here for a while. Please keep her and her kitty in your thoughts and prayers (if you are a praying kind of person). :hugs

Love,

Cindi (who won't be online much today--going over sister's to see baby)

Many :hugs's for Stacey. I am sorry dear.

Oh no! Must have been an accident? Poor baby! Sorry sorry for your loss Stacey!
Cindi, give that baby a sniff and a squeeze for me! Enjoy!

You can get the Genesis 1588(Much better since it is digital and does not use a wafer) for $135.00. The turner from the old one will fit.

If you can get the old one running with new pares, it wold be great to use during lockdown.

This is a link to the Genesis 1588 but the same site has replacement parts for the old one too

I bought the fan from incubator warehouse. With slighty quicker shipping it was $37 total. Switch it out and done.
I liked the genesis and it had great reviews but I wonder about not being able to adjust it. You have to rely on the digital aspect and hope it works.
Technology is great till it malfunctions.

So apparently some of my ladies are jerkfaces and whenever someone starts molting they relentlessly peck at their naked spots. I had to put Olive (my tiny human's favorite) in the little cage this morning and she wasn't happy about it. Last night my daughter noticed that Olive had a bloody spot on her tail. I cleaned the bloody stub and put blukote on it, but it wasn't enough to get them to leave her alone. This morning there was fresh blood. The worst part is that it's so nice out today and now she's got to spend the day in the time out pen. I should put the meanies in w/ Odin (he doesn't like Olive)... but he'd probably over mate them.
I am sorry about that!

Did you up their nutrition? Calf manna is good for that

....Why do you think it is not adjustable....It has up and down arrows on the lcd to adjust temperature

@staceyj I'm drip sorry about your kitten. It's hard any time we lose someone we love, animals included, and it's even harder when it happens unexpectedly. Take all the time you need for yourself, we will be here sending you :hugs and :love.

For everyone else, ditto if you need time for yourself, for any reason. :hugs:love

Well, I was NOT approved to have the breast reduction surgery. The DR said that the amount of fat that would be REQUIRED by my insurance company to be removed from each breast would basically be complete mastectomies. The ONLY guidelines they go by are my height and weight... and the DR said even if I weighed 150lbs I wouldn't qualify, since I STILL wouldn't have enough *fat* to take out.

He also said that it wasn't fair, since I should qualify since they are causing me pain, but rules is rules through our insurance.

I was quoted a cost of $6600 for the procedure if we're to pay it on our own as an *elective* surgery. ST is all for it... guess I should go back to calling him DH instead of ST since he really thinks this would help me out... physically, mentally, emotionally... and will help ease my *bitchiness*....

Buddy (Wiggles) is doing a lot better now with his new med. We also give him some homeopathy stuff to help him stay calm. He's doing really well!

Other than that, nothing new here. Just waiting for day 10 to candle the eggs again and see how they're doing. It's quite exciting to hatch eggs from my own flock!
