Official Squatch Watchers

....Why do you think it is not adjustable....It has up and down arrows on the lcd to adjust temperature
I didn't see where it says it can be adjusted. Just that it's set to temperature for birds. It's bookmarked for later. Saving money now trying to not spend. LOL

I am sorry about that!

Did you up their nutrition? Calf manna is good for that
No, I did start giving them feather fixer w/ higher protein. I *would* give them the meat bird feed, but I prefer to get them pellets b/c they don't turn to dust like the crumble seems to. So I looked up the calf manna.. Do I just mix it in w/ their feed? It says Pellet.. is it like a chicken sized pellet, or is it big? I'd never heard of this stuff... Thanks for letting me know about it!

Well, I was NOT approved to have the breast reduction surgery. The DR said that the amount of fat that would be REQUIRED by my insurance company to be removed from each breast would basically be complete mastectomies. The ONLY guidelines they go by are my height and weight... and the DR said even if I weighed 150lbs I wouldn't qualify, since I STILL wouldn't have enough *fat* to take out.

He also said that it wasn't fair, since I should qualify since they are causing me pain, but rules is rules through our insurance.

I was quoted a cost of $6600 for the procedure if we're to pay it on our own as an *elective* surgery. ST is all for it... guess I should go back to calling him DH instead of ST since he really thinks this would help me out... physically, mentally, emotionally... and will help ease my *bitchiness*....

Buddy (Wiggles) is doing a lot better now with his new med. We also give him some homeopathy stuff to help him stay calm. He's doing really well!

Other than that, nothing new here. Just waiting for day 10 to candle the eggs again and see how they're doing. It's quite exciting to hatch eggs from my own flock!
Ugh.. morons. Not to be nosy in your financial stuff, just making suggestions.. but if the gofundme thing isn't an option, can you start saving up for it, or get a loan to cover it? I assume if you are selfpay for the surgery then you'd have to pay up front. Otherwise you could just make payments to the hospital. My friend did that w/ her HUGE bill that she got from her heart surgery. She flat out told them I don't have that much money, I'll send you $50 a month. If you don't like it, too bad. Hmm... maybe you can get them to approve a tonsillectomy and have them do your boobs while you're out.

This actually reminds me of a thing I read that said at most ins co's the people who decided what's approved and what's not are low level, non medically experienced people. When my gma had lung cancer the ins co denied her an oxygen tank b/c they claimed she didn't need it. Then my parents had to buy one to prove to them that it helped her before they'd cover it. They literally denied a dying woman oxygen. I have a long list of bad words for these people.

DEFINITELY NOT the right house for you. :hugs

Acute onset pneumonia. Passed away within 3 hours of being taken to the vet. It sucks.
I had a young Mynah bird die suddenly once. It was awful because he was such a character! Taught him to talk, it was really clear and easy to understand. He would jump up on the perch , look in the feed cup and say, "I'm hungry!". I still miss that bird.

I own both the old style and new style--The old one had toggle switches to adjust temperature. The new one has temperature adjustment on the front panel

Like this image--Set temp is the setting and the - and + buttons change the temperature.

One of the best incubators around for the price

Although I am sure I could open a gofundme page, not sure I would feel comfortable with doing that. There are WAY too many people who could really use other's donations, rather than just me and my bewbs.

Unless Y'ALL wanna contribute?!?!?!?!?! :lau Y'all can send money directly to me though... I take cash, checks, Mastercard, Visa.... and Amazon or Walmart gift cards!!! :gig

I guess the thing that really sticks in my craw, is that my 70+ year old FIL got HIS mammaplasty.... and his was just extra skin! From OLD AGE... no other reason... not some huge weight loss or anything..... and we have the same TATERING insurance!

I'm sure things will work out...... :D
