Update, those derp genes are strong! Duece's rump stump is nearly gone and well...just look. I took a pic, and all I can say is huh, that's just freaky. Keep in mind mom is not a derp she's a buff Orpington/ameracuna mix. Not chipmunk colored either just spotted?

Good to hear Duece's doing well. Congrats! How are the others doing?
 
@apryl29 They are doing good. It's going to be hard to wait the full 2 weeks of quarantine. They really seem perfectly healthy. I might try to expand their area. Not sure if there is the floor space in the mud room. I'd need a few more wire panels for a roof too. They are flyers!
 
They're growing like weeds @apryl29 .I've pretty much decided we are going to try to have two roosters because I can't part with Early he's my shadow chicken, he likes hanging out with me better than his people. The neighbors son is taking Cookie, I don't like it but we aren't eating my chicken son so yeah.:hit

LOL Once they figure it out you can't keep them down. I hope they stay healthy.

How many do you have total? I have 13, 2 are boys, but one is a bantam and I keep Odin separated from everyone else most of the time so they can't be over mated.
