That's what I used originally w/ my chicks, but they outgrew it in a couple of weeks. But that should give you time to get something up. It worked pretty well. I made the lid out of hardware wire and made it hinge so I didn't have them jumping out all over the place when I opened it.Haha, if i had i bathtub i would be soaking in it. I do have a big storage bin, so that with a top on it will have to do if a lot hatch. I have 28 eggs!
Awww. It's so sad to see them squished on the road. People are so mean. I stopped for one, but it had already been run over. It was still alive. I moved it off the road. I hope it made it, but I haven't the knowledge or means to help it, but I'd read that they will sometimes heal on their own.Made a new little friend on my way out today. Trying to cross the road so I stopped to help.
