I was planning on trying to weasel out two so there is a buddy system. I'm wanting those dwarf turkeys two little turkey girls. I like turkey boys but they're just so full of themselves. Off topic, but no more Matt Lauer that's so off!
Well one would be lonely, better get at least 6!

and a fun word!
Oh, you get to learn a whole new language when you raise turkeys.

Beltsville White's are critically endangered.

No,I didn't at first but I've been watching this farm sanctury webcam in the mornings and it's basically a bunch of mixed hens, silkies, a couple little fuzzy roos, a goat that uses a cart and a bunch of really wonk turkeys. The more i watched the turkeys the more i liked them. The food lady fed the birds on cam and i saw that "snood" stick straight up and since then I've been mooning for turkeys. :)
Is it bad that I don’t think turkey’s are attractive???

If you do get them, we can talk you through preparations as they require special attention for the first 8 weeks. When I hatch mine I like to add a few one week old chicks in the brooder with them to help them figure things out.
