I wondered if it was dead from the ACV maybe it wouldn't be red.

I would be inclined to treat with the regular wormer and also get a fecal done.

The fecal will reveal what parasite it is.

Since she is already struggling a bit I would dose her with the valbazen. It doesn't kill every kind of worm but does get most kinds.

I can go to the store no problem. I want what will work. I really think it's a gapeworm.

I can start a thread too but I always like to ask you guys first.

I am not sure it is gapeworm. Those are just one to two cm long. What you have there is much longer.

I'll try the wetted feed, though I think we are going to cull her today when I get back from my test. I'm pretty sure she has ascites, and there is no cure. No maggots in sight, and the wound is dry-but she keeps getting her diarrhea all over it.
Sorry Ruby, that is miserable! Hugs.

@CapricornFarm

Good morning Cappy!

ARE YOU KEEP TRACK?
If someone hooked me up to a polygraph machine and asked “how many babies
IN TOTAL has Cappy hatched?”
:confused::confused::confused::confused:

I’d say between 150-1000?

My sister lives on a little island.
They pride themselves off of living off the water.
They’ve had a chalkboard hanging in their kitchen on which they’ve kept track of every bushel of crabs they’ve steamed in their 50 year marriage.

I hope you’re keep a tally!
Too scary! Plus hubby might find out! I hate to think how many i hatched in TN when i had 2 cabinet bators running all the time! For about 7 years!

Yuck, 87 degrees 59% humidity. I was sweating like a ho in church just filling the hummingbird feeder. @FlyingNunFarm I hate your girl has worms, that's why I was worming the derps because there are so many earthworms and slugs this year somebody was bound to have something. Got to say iv'e never seen one come out the front door, not any less gross is it? :)

Doing a bunch of reading I am thinking that matches capillary worm.

The gaping made me think gapeworm. I'll have to do some more reading myself. She really is acting normal. Laying eggs and eating. Didn't sound bad till last night. I listened to her lungs and I don't hear anything there. It's all in her throat.
