I’m sorry Ruby. :hugs

Good luck on your test!
Is this you learners permit test???

They say you have to get around 32% to have a negative effect on chickens
I feed chicken grower (20%) to every one year around.. I usually get better hatches..I think the heat is causing issues this year..
right now there are poults in 3 of the 4 coops.. so those coops are getting 28% turkey starter..
The only thing I have noticed when feeding turkey grower(24%) is the birds get bigger feathers, looks like upside down feathers in the wings.

:hugs

I am sorry Ruby. Sometimes that is the best thing to do.

:hugs It still stinks though.

Sorry Ruby, that is miserable! Hugs.
Lol, came on BYC and saw everyone quoting my post. "Uh oh, what did I do this time?" I couldn't remember what I had posted.

I don't think the high protein was the cause of it, I just think it may have been a factor. It probably was a combination of genetics and toxin build up, and may have been triggered by a buildup of ammonia in the coop. We really need more ventilation in there. I should have got to it sooner.

Quick question:
I have a full grown ISA Brown(red sexlink). She's just over a year old. The black Australorp, 19 weeks old, is bigger than her. I wasn't that surprised about that, since Australorps are bigger birds. What did surprise me was the size of her wattles. They must have just had a growth spurt, because all of a sudden they are even bigger than the ISA's. Is that just because she's nearing laying age? No crow like sounds.

So none of my research on worms shows gapeworm or hairworm being over 1/2 inch long.
Whatever she horked up was a good 5-6 inches long. I tried looking down her throat again but I don’t see anything. Hopefully whatever it is the Valbazen will get it!
Roundworms can be skinny or spaghetti thickness and that long.

Mine had big wattles and grew a big beautiful comb.
Doesn’t worry unless you are seeing long pointed saddle feathers by now.

Also mine didn’t lay until the end of her fifth month.
