I woke this morning to the neighbors chickens screaming again.
It was barely light out and the crows were yelling too.

Nothing I can do about it. No way for me to help them.

Today I will be checking my aprons on my coops. They been buried several years so I need to check for weak points. Other neighbors have alerted us to the fox being active and seeing on multiple occasions it carrying a hen off.

Security is so important! A couple houses down and across the alley they are hustling to build a coop. They have 20ish birds roaming the yard that only has short chain link.

SMH today.

A couple of my broody hens have been successfully broken!
:yesss:
I am down to 7 again.

RJ, We look forward to hearing more about your career change as time allows.
:)

Heading out to clean the coop and tie up some tomato plants before it gets too hot.
*dang those tomato hornworms by the way!
Even the chickens don’t want anything to do with them!

Do you pluck those nasty buggers off the maters?
I hope not to see those. :sick

They are so destructive!
