Adorable! I want to love on him! It reminds me of our not fluffywufferkins (kids named him). He was such a good cat.

No coon! Wtf? Maybe my crazy display worked better than I thought but i'm still not stopping looking for it. Bright side hubs had been watching me coop the ladies and gentlemen and has realised they aren't just "chickens" they are dumb little feather people. @staceyj That kitty looks like he's full of trouble, he's cute but totally full of himself. But like you said, what's a little more chaos.

@Anansi Want to talk about door installation disaster-- I wanted a screen door for the man door on my coop. It want originally a coop so has poor ventilation and NO windows. I rent so can't go cutting holes in the building.
I go to HD and get a cheep already screened unfinished wood door. I bring it home and it doesn't fit. Because it's about a foot to tall! LOL So I end up cutting it down, reinstalling the screen, putting reinforments on the back and try to hang it again. The opening is so crooked the door isn't hung close to straight. It has to open in because the other door opens out, and I don't think the screen door would go the other way anyway.
There are so many gaps around the door it's not funny. But, they got their screen door!View attachment 1435589

Currently at 73* with 90* humidity.
I think it’s giving the chickens problems. Went out tonight and one of the girls sounds like a carton a day smoker! She didn’t sound like that all day. But now the humidity is up and of course they are sleeping in the rafters. Poor things have got to be hot up there. I have two fans blowing their direction. Not much more I can do.

So glad I'm not the only one w fans in the coop.

My sleeping, since I've started working out, has become worse... I've become more insomniac and harder to stay asleep. Had a DRs appointment today and he put me on Restoril. Took it about an hour ago so hopefully it'll kick in soon.

PICs birthday is coming up and we're driving 2 hours across the state to take him to an Australian themed Zoo... since he's all Australia crazy lately. 2 hours there, 2 hours back and an endless time walking around a friggen OPEN AIR DESERT ZOO in the middle of summer?!? Yeah, I am soooooooooooooooooo looking forward to that! (someone put an eyeroll in here for me please!! lol )

Seriously, nothing much else happening here... OH... the trees we got from the Arbor Foundation are actually growing!!! I didn't think they actually would be they are! About the only tatering thing we've gotten to grow around here....

Just had the upper gi done. Cautiously, the tech said her stomach is emptying, though slowly. So it seems the blockage is gone. She's sad and misses sister. Good news so far.. Waiting to hear from the surgeon.

Been working, not so much on computer. I've been skimming.

Apryl, my thoughts and good vibes go out to your little one! That is really, really tough for you to be going through. Did she get the NG tube out yet?

Was supposed to go to Solstice in Times Square today in NYC with all the other yoga freaks, but I was too tired to get up early and slept in!

Hubby and I are going away, to New Orleans, next week. All my school jobs are done then and we are overdue for a vacation. We've never been there. It should be fun. We wanted to go to Key West again but it is too expensive.

My chickies are all doing well. No more deaths. I spent several days mucking out the coops and runs and doing the annual cleanout. With all the rain we had, it stunk to high heaven!! Gross, man. I have now officially completed my first year of chickening.

Babies are getting big, Negan is a horny little booger. DH redid the chicken freerange area and put up a shadow box fence around their area and the side of the house. It looks really good, and gives us a little privacy. I'll have to post pics.

Happy Solstice, everybody. Let the summer begin!
