Lost a chicken today and I believe it is Xena. DH fed the chickens this morning and all was well... early afternoon I went outside to give the animals a looksee and saw something weird.... somehow one of the chickens got stuck in between 2 rungs on the ladder that led into the coop. I un-wedged her and she seemed ok... but a little dazed.

About 2 hours later DH found the same colored chicken in the corner of the coop, already in rigor.... do they really go into rigor that fast?!?!? I KNOW for a fact that there was NOT a dead chicken in the coop when I un-wedged the one.

Oh, has anyone used Juice Plus? My mom has some friends trying to get her to take it.... but I believe they are reps... plus it is pretty expensive MLM to me....

They start to go into rigor in about an hour...
Buddy did juice plus for awhile... said he didn't feel any different so he stopped and didn't feel any different

That sucks! Any ideas what's wrong with the turkey?
Idk, i was gone yesterday picking up lumber and shopping. She stayed in the lean-to all day. Just acts tired. No mites, i checked. So i figure cocci. I started corid for all of them. She didn't want to drink it so i added sugar. Quite a lot of fluid in her crop now so maybe she will survive. I am going to try her with scrambled eggs in the morning. Put her in the barn by herself.
