I'm sorry for the losses and the sick turkey. It sucks big taters to lose them or have one that you're doing everything you can for and not knowing if it will make it.

As far as weather, yeah, y'all are miserable. I'd send my temps your way, but the mountains would sabotage the effort. I hope y'all cool of soon.

Rae, MD is the cutest thing, I hope he doesn't grow up too fast.

Try to stay somewhat comfortable, and hope everyone ends their weekend better than it started.

Cap, add a little fish to the eggs for the extra vitamins and protein.
With this heat, the mators were thirsty this week... They went through 90 gallons of water. I have a 55 gallon tank that feeds a 40 gallon reservoir to water them... I fill the tank every Sunday... Both are bone dry this morning.
 
Morning everyone.

The garden took some damage. It should recover ok. Mostly it was pounded down by the heavy rain that came with the hail. My maters shrunk from 5' to 3.5'. I will carefully boost them back up in their frames. The trees saved many plants from annihilation. Of course that means THEY took the damage.
Lots of holes in everything that has large leaves.
I definitely have some work to do! I do think those giant mater cages helped save the maters.

I un-wedged her and she seemed ok... but a little dazed.

About 2 hours later DH found the same colored chicken in the corner of the coop, already in rigor.... do they really go into rigor that fast?!?!? I KNOW for a fact that there was NOT a dead chicken in the coop when I un-wedged the one.


Oh, has anyone used Juice Plus? My mom has some friends trying to get her to take it.... but I believe they are reps... plus it is pretty expensive MLM to me....
