Rosie update.

Ok so I gave her some cbd oil this morning.
4-5 drops actually got in her.
Much more got on me, because it’s “fragrant”. :cool:

She’s stoned. :lol:
Or she was.
Because she was complaining about being allllllll alone, starting about 30 minutes after I gave it to her (8am) until after 12 noon.
Like a drunken sailor trying to sing.

Except uh.... she was trying to crow. :eek:
Im in a neighborhood that doesn’t allow chickens let alone roosters.

Gonna have to try the beer.

It's all good. I got the windows washed and bathroom cleaned. Just small chores today. Puppies are sleeping!!!

Working on gypsy coop plans. :)

Lol I needed a challenge.

Can't have the brain turning to mush!

My old job held a ton of responsibility and required great attention to detail. Not to mention extreme multitasking.

I kinda miss working but I really really really despised the working conditions.

This coop design is an interesting challenge. I really like everything planned well so we will see how I do.
 
Tuck's little does not look like Tucks but she did get tiny feet.:)

What cbd do you have? I really need to get some for my roo. Stoned would be fine by me. LOL

I feed everyone the starter/grower.. has extra vit, minerals and protein that chicks need and will not hurt the adults .. I only feed layer to a pen w/just laying hens.. but lots of people feed layer to roos too.

True.. I never say 'don't eat them' unless I mean it, like w/ Steve & even then it was like I'd rather he didn't become food. He was a good boy, just couldn't keep him b/c of his size. Odin, eh... whatever. Even a year ago it would have been eh.. whatever. At his point I'm starting to think eh.. whatever about Willie too... the little turdface.

Thanks for the info.. I feed my roos layer too, though I *try* to scoop the pellets only for Odin. Willie eats from the same thing as the girls, I've also caught him eating shells.

I’m super grossed out— the run is growing algae—on the ground! WTF!?! It’s rained so much and then been so sunny. Eeewwww

I’m currently feeding chick crumbles to everyone with smaller higher up feeders filled with feather fixer. I’m going to switch everyone to feather fixer again once the chick food is gone. They throw the crumbles everywhere!

I need to try something (anything) to calm my jerk. I can see the headline “Woman tells police she was buying marijuana for angry rooster.”

Loki's been letting Willie mate and has been eating egg shells so I expect she might start laying again soon. It sounds like you have a good mama.. hope she doesn't broody too shoon. I'm hoping the same for my girls too.

I have the same problem. Everything is wet and gross. The run smelled moldy when I was digging through. It's so gross.

Just tell them your roo has glacoma. lol

What my chooks go crazy for:

They LOVE cranberries. I had a bag left over from Thanksgiving. So when it's really hot, I fill up a shallow tub with cold water and throw some frozen cranberries in there. They go nuts, like bobbing for apples. They play Keep Away with it, chase each other around, ingest a lot of cool water.

Yesterday I made ice cubes with tree frozen cranberries in each cell, and chucked those in the water. They get a good amount of hydration trying to get to those suckers, and it's pretty as well!

I think my flock is glad to have me back. :)

Great idea... I wish I'd kept some cranberries. I wonder if the store has frozen ones.

Seven Grains carries cbd oil, but not sure what kind they have. Maybe The Mustard Seed in Solon would have it.
