Skink is no biggie, I got it out in a plastic cup. I'm not sure I could do that with a skunk.:p
plastic cup... So yeah.. I was thinking it was 'zoo size':

I guess that's slightly less terrifying (if you're not a baby chick).

I was sitting on the porch just having my coffee and I heard a bang, so i'm like wtf and start looking. I had sat an egg on a table and forgot about it but obviously it didn't forget about me. Oh man thats a nasty smell!:sick
Um.. just how long have you forgotten this egg?

And here I am with one broody hoping she never wants to hatch again. LOL
Same.

Good morning! New serama baby, more to come.

Awwww

Here's what's up lately:

1. PIC has been sick. Like, really really sick. Got him into the Dr; he is on Keflex and a very boozy smelling expectorant, cause whatever he has has settled into his chest and decided it wants to live there for awhile.

2. Super Tater DH is already going through work withdrawals, and he hasn't even started his retirement process yet. He's pretty much completely *checked out* in the work department. Plus, I think he's a little depressed about it. His unit will be out training during the time he will be turning in all his paperwork and clearing post, so basically no parties, no fanfare... just *wipe ya feet on the way out and don't let the door hit ya where the good lawd split ya*........

3. Mom is coming for her yearly visit. SHE wants to stay for at least 2 months.... Oh dear.

4. Did I mention THE PUPPIES?!?!? We got puppies.

Yeah, there's that. I DID tell the boys they could get a couple of puppies when STDH retired.... so, here they are. We took home 3 to see which 2 would *fit* the best.

We have decided on the single boy, the white one, who we named (David) Bowie Bleu. and the black one (the runt from a separate litter), and named her Twilight Dreaming. The Brown one, we were calling Poppy Cox... and it's a shame we can't keep her... but she is too much of an Alpha personality, and doesn't do well with submitting to the older dogs.... PLUS I didn't want puppies at all PLUS blah blah blah. To be honest, if it was JUST the puppies, we'd keep all 3, and Poppy would more than likely be the lead dog.... but Wolf is already or lead dog, so don't need an Assistant (to the) Lead Dog. (Anyone get that reference?!? :lau )

5. Our closest neighbors are moving, and they are taking PICs BFF.... so, dealing with those emotions. They sold their property pretty quickly, so we're very curious as to who will be moving in...

So, there's all that... OH and my skin procedures as well.. which has been cutting (no pun intended) into my work out and swimming time this summer..... I'm verklempt!!!
Holy wow, glad the kid is recovering, sucks about his friend though.
A coworker used verklempt yesterday... funny that you said it too.
That's a lot of dog. Best of luck to you. When do you return the extra pup?
You could always plan a party for when they get back. That way your hubs will have some time to settle into retirement and everyone else will be thoroughly jealous of him. Additional luck for the mom visit.. that combined w/ a recently retired/retiring hubs will be grand. Maybe spend some $$ to buy yourself a plane ticket too.

@apryl29 Nooo not massive skinks, these little dudes lol!

She was just reeealy into dustbathing in that alfalfa hay and the others were eating hay specks off of her. :caf

I have 4 baby Chocolates and 1 more hatching! I'm going to see tonight if my Leghorn will be a good mommy.

Ohhh those are super pretty! I would have thought it was a salamander. I still would have screamed. She was probably thinking MOM!!! I was getting preened!

I now have two missing hands. I corrected a good 75 feathers from the two of them yesterday. Considering Gurtrude hasn't molted for over 18 months, it's nice to see her feathers finally falling out everywhere. Lizbeth has gone through 3 soft molts in that same time. :th
Missing hands?
