Well Nunny you've got weirdos I don't know what else to tell you. I don't think iv'e ever heard you bring a normal issue to the table...ever. Lord knows i'm not weirdo shaming and Iv'e got to tell ya, i'm glad you exsist.:love
She has pantaloons on now! The feathers on her legs got thicker and longer. It’s the extra toe feathers that are getting me. She didn’t have them on her middle toe before, she has them between her toes! Little fuzzy ones. Then the outside toe is getting real feathers. I picked at a thick scale and it popped off and this whole giant feather uncurled. A good 1/4 in long.

The first day letting chicks meet the family is always...interesting. Negan is good with it but he keeps looking at me all shifty I know it is because of the rainbow children...he thinks iv'e cheated! Cookie loves babies, he won't leave the pen side and he keeps trying to feed them clover. Susan and Marlene don't give half a tater. Lulu is happy as long as they don't touch her. Beavis wants to bite them. Hobo is Hobo she looks, she clucks, she moves on. Tucks is overly happy, her pale comb is the reddest red now so i'm betting broody by tomorrow.:pop

What adventures you folks have... I raise endangered heritage breeds so not much drama here other than losing a butt ton to predidation when my fence shorted out AND the tater toms didn't get the job done. Thursday I'm setting every duck egg I have regardless of age in a hail marry attempt at replenishing the flock.

So very true. So very very true.

I had to go to the clerks office for tags. No problem the wait was short.
I stopped in and paid the insurance. No problem I got there as they opened.
I ran to grab milk and flour. No problem parking was close and lines were short.
I got home after being gone just an hour. Problem!!!! Delilah chewed up a wall corner and trim. She did it even with bitter yuck sprayed on it!
:barnie

Now how am I supposed to run the other errands and trust her tatery butt?!?!
To muddy outside due to rain.

I guess they get moved to tomorrow's list in hopes of dry weather.
She needs a dog crate.

Good luck with the ducks! BTW my intention was to have a flock of fat, fluffy chickens. The adventure is a bonus???? :lau

Hope things get better it's only Monday:fl

Well you've got them now, and they're weird. The fact this wasn't your intent is hilarious!
I'm am accidental chicken keeper. The simple question of "you want a few birds?" turned my world upside down! I went from 4 older girls to 6 in less then a week. (The word that you'll take unwanted chickens travels fast) The following spring I knew I wanted to expand and chicken math got me first time out. I heard a voice say all excited, " Oooh what are those!?!" And I came home with 6 birds instead of 4. Then I said I wouldn't hatch, done that 2x now.

Wonder if I say "I'll keep every chicken I can house" if they'll start just wondering off--hhmm....
