I made a horrific discovery this morning. I was getting ready to clip the Milk Drinker's nails this morning and I find his palms are covered in little red blisters. I yank off his socks, and he has the spots on his feet too. The reason why he was so sick a few days ago, is he has Hand, foot and mouth.

My quail squatch IS real! I saw a little quail stuck in the chicken run maybe 2 weeks ago. I had sworn I had seen her since but they are so quick and camouflaged. But I saw her today and had the camera ready.

Is that a wild one, or one of yours that took off?

I haven't seen any, but he is weird about showing me the inside of his mouth. He has the lesions all over his butt though. I thought it was just bad diaper rash, but combined with the hand and foot sores.....

Pedialyte, rest, fluids, keep temp down, soft foods, call your pedi...it's viral, just gotta let it run its course (at least in school age kids. Not 100% sure about toddlers though. Best to check in with your pedi). Poor kiddo! I hope he feels better!
