Leave if told to. Here many do not leave during a fire evacuation order. It often makes for a sad story

Well I’m a terrible mom. I was exhausted and freezing this morning so didn’t get out of bed. This dreary weather really gets to me. So I finally make it out and they need water outside. I go into the coop and the food bucket is knocked over and completely empty. I have several food stations and they are all empty. I start filling everything and they are all stuffing themselves like they haven’t had food in a week.
I may have given taterhead the scare he needed though. I use an empty plastic coffee can as a scoop. As I’m trying to fill food containers he gets touchy and knocks it out of my hand. I picked it up and threw it at him. He ran for it but I picked it up and threw it at him again. That’s when he ran sorta backwards and into the lid of the metal trash can I keep their food in. It fell over on him with a loud crash and he hightailed it out of the coop looking over his shoulder the whole time.Any other chicken and I would have felt bad. That jerk deserves a good scare.
