Hubby snapped this tonight...Bucco and his little sis Emma chilling on the couch. :love

I hung the door on the first part of the coop, and got the last shutter hung. Also worked on security in the eaves. And i cut enough hardware cloth for run #1 to have it a foot up on one side and for the run door. The back of the chicken run is the turkey run. And i am going to put about 2 feet of plywood between the runs so the roosters do not fight between groups.

So.....
Ya'll know that my oopster went to live with a couple that are now divorcing.

Hubby was sent a pic of Big Jake.

He grew to be quite handsome.

He is a big black Australorp.
:hit
I still cannot bring him here. My neighbors would have a fit.
Neighbors suck. We are lucky right now, both pieces of property near us are vacant and for sale!

Maybe some stall dry or ag lime will get rid of the green crud......

Just thinking it may work. Not sure if it will work though.
Thanks for the suggestions. I looked last night and it wasn't as green as the day before, but I'm not sure where it went or if it'll be back. I'll be in there adding support for the cover this weekend so I'm at least give it a raking. I noticed there was a similar situation going on up by the drive way. I'm guessing the excessive rain we had b/c of Gordon + the tropical heat we had leading up to it caused it. We've got TONS of mushrooms all over the yard too.

Thinking of expanding, or basking in your solitude?

Lots of mushrooms and fungus. The property is pretty expensive on the river. I will just enjoy the solitude while it lasts.
