Good! Just getting over a nasty cold. I've had this wheeze on/off for a couple months, and lately it's been all the time, so I went and got a chest x-ray two days ago. Luckily, it was normal, but my doc thinks I may have asthma! So I've been puffing on my inhaler.

It's crazy getting it for the first time at this age! But a few years ago I started having allergies, and I never had them either. Getting old is so much fun!

(But, it's better than the alternative.)

Ha, you know you're old when you find yourself watching a COLOGUARD VIDEO, lol. :oldWhich I was doing earlier!! There is actually a video that explains how to do it, and they have a guy pooping a fake turd (it actually says that on the video, lol!!) into this contraption, and sending it off through UPS. Crazy...

So ....Day 12 of the Great Eggsperiment!!

It is so exciting. :D

All 4 mystery (hopefully Lafayette) eggs are rock and rolling!! The lone Serama egg--although 4 or 5 days behind-- is also coming along!

I will post pics/video when hubs comes home, if you like.

My Silkie, Olive, is broody again. She is the one who was broody exactly 6 months ago when I hatched my first ever batch of eggs, and then she quit a few days before they were to hatch. So, I stuck a couple mystery eggs under her today. We'll see what happens!

I've never had a broody hatch chicks before. If she is going strong, I will probably stick all 5 eggs under her and let her hatch them, so I don't have to deal with a smelly chicken brooding room, which I've already done 3 times. Hopefully, she will be a good mom! She just went broody two days or so ago, so I think she should be good. We'll see!

Good, hoping i can avoid hubby's cold. Trying to get ready for the big swap this weekend. And struggling to get the coop built and caring for so many quail. I will be glad to sell a bunch.

Ha, I caught my hubby's cold....thanks a lot! :p

Are you doing that TSC swap thing? They are having that over by me this weekend, I didn't know if it was all over or just local.

No, the Gilmanor swap in Glen Allen has been going on twice a year for decades. People come from at least 5 states to buy and sell. Its huge!
