We got the latest reports from family in FL.

All places that they were working are either gone or very heavily damaged. One house lost, 2 houses with damage but maybe livable......

Most of the extended family is bugging out of FL.

Three guesses where they are headed.............

FNF? Can I come stay with you??

Oh, you poor thing! My sympathies....

Here's hoping for a quick reimbursement from FEMA and a speedy rebuilding...

Maybe they can rent a place nearby?

Unfortunately that is highly unlikely. Rents here start at 1000+ for a one bedroom apartment.

I am hoping they either stay put or head into MS or AL. Of course there are a lot of folks in serious need down that way.

The worst for the family is the jobs lost. Freaking scary to be without both home and pay all in a blink.

Things will work out, they have to. Giving up is not an option.

Oh Dear!! That makes for very tight quarters!

I know it makes me sound horrible not wanting them to come.
I KNOW family is supposed to help family.
I just also know what it's like to have this group moved in here.

Don't feel bad. I wouldn't want anyone coming living in my house either, especially my in-laws!! If that makes you horrible, then we both are. I need my space, period!! I love it when my hubby isn't around, and he's a great guy, lol.

Also...you don't have to LIKE your family (or in-laws). Of course, you love them, because you have to, most of the time. But nobody says you have to like them. ANd/or (especially) living with them!

There, you can officially stop feeling bad now!!

You're welcome here too, it isn't much but it is peaceful...mainly due to me running all the inlaws off and putting my heart and soul into the act.

I would much rather have my squatch friends stay with me than my in-laws!

Or for that matter, most of my family (what little is left of us)...

Henny, it wouldn't be an imposition on any of us squatchers, it would be guests who actually are willing to help, especially feeding critters of feathers and barking/meowing fur.

Yeah, not to mention, being around other people who consider chicken poop to be an interesting, smelly fashion statement...!

Oh I didn't just buy the place. FNF is our new homeowner.

We been here 17 years. OMG 17 years!!

At one point there were 6 relatives all at once moved in on us.......... Yes 6 additional people.
During that great adventure I got laid off too. What a nightmare that was trying to feed everyone.
